With the 2023 summer transfer window now open, let’s look at who each team should buy and sell before the new season:

Manchester City

Buy: With Kyle Walker aging, it’s time Pep invests in a new right back. Rico Lewis is solid, but he is still too young to be a starter.

Sell: Joao Cancelo - I think he should stay. Cancelo is easily one of the best defenders in the world. Pep clearly doesn’t rate him anymore so it’s time to cash in on him.

Arsenal

Buy: Arsenal’s title run was ruined by the injury to William Saliba. They need a solid back-up defender in case of injuries next season

Sell: Emile Smith Rowe - He was solid in the 2021/22 season but it’s clear he is not a starter for Arteta. For his career, he should go to a team where he will start every week.

Manchester United

Buy: Victor Osimhen, Dusan Vlahovic, Evan Ferguson, or Rasmus Hojlund - Manchester United need a striker. They did not score enough goals this season and either one of these options are good. They should however, sign two, Ferguson and Hojlund as a future starter, Osimhen or Vlahovic as a current starter.

Sell: Harry Maguire - It’s time to go.

Newcastle

Buy: A new midfielder would be good, the depth in the midfield is too weak for the Champions League.

Sell: Anthony Gordan - They took the risk and it didn’t pay off, let him go.

Liverpool

Buy: Along with Alexis Mac Allister, buy another midfielder, someone like Renato Sanches, or Orkun Kökcü from Feyenoord.

Sell: Naby Keita - He’s just taking up space at this point.

Brighton

Buy: two or three midfielders since it looks like Moises Caicedo and Alexis Mac Allister are leaving.

Sell: Tariq Lamptey - He was good for two seasons, but now he is out of favor.

Aston Villa

Buy: A solid back up striker for Ollie Watkins.

Sell: Phillip Coutinho - too injury prone.

Tottenham

Buy: A keeper, a few Defenders, some midfielders, a new winger.

Sell: Hugo Lloris, Eric Dier, Davinson Sánchez, Ryan Sessegnon, Emerson Royal, basically the whole defense.

Brentford

Buy: Some midfielders, the midfield isn’t that strong.

Sell: David Raya - Raya is a good goalie but if you won’t play him, let him have a good career as a starting keeper somewhere else.

Fulham

Buy: Some solid defenders and a starting midfielder in case Palhinha leaves.

Sell: Anthony Knockaert - He’s too old for the Premier League.

Crystal Palace

Buy: A Striker, Jordan Ayew, Jean-Philippe Mateta, and Odsonne Edouard are not good enough.

Sell: At least two of the forwards I mentioned above. (Keep Edouard)

Chelsea

Buy: Fine I’ll be serious, buy a lot of players, but prioritize a forward who will score 20+ goals a season.

Sell: At least 10-12 players, you decide who.

Wolves

Buy: Honestly, if Wolves don’t invest in a complete rebuild, then they are going down. Buy a whole new team.

Sell: Sell a lot of the starting 11. Especially the old guys like, Jonny, Joao Moutinho, Raul Jiménez, and Diego Costa.

West Ham

Sell: Declan Rice - Do not miss the opportunity to cash in big for Rice. I know he is a star, but you won’t keep him until he is 35. Sell him while he is still valued at 120 million pounds.

Bournemouth

Buy: A solid defensive midfielder since Jefferson Lerma is leaving on a free this summer.

Sell: Junior Stanislas - He is not a part of Bournemouth's plans so why keep him?

Nottingham Forest

Buy: First, sell a bunch of players before you buy. Once that is done, buy a keeper, Keylor Navas won’t sign permanently. Sign Dean Henderson on a permanent transfer.

Sell: A bunch of players, particularly the older players (Wayne Hennessey, Steve Cook, Wily Boly, Felipe, and André Ayew). If Jesse Lingard under performs again next season, sell him. He is on 200k a week and he is not as good anymore.

Everton

Buy: It’s time for a rebuild, you don’t want to play your first season in your new expensive stadium in the Championship.

Sell: Anybody except Andre Gray, Jordan Pickford, Abdoulaye Doucouré, Alex Iwobi, and Amadou Onana.

Burnley

Buy: Another forward since Ashley Barnes should go. Also some solid midfielders and defenders.

Sell: Ashley Barnes - he’s getting older.

Sheffield United

Buy: David Raya - Why not? He’s up for sale. Also buy some defenders since the defense is too similar to the defense that got relegated.

Sell: Oliver McBurnie - I don’t think he is good enough to play in the Premier League

Luton

Buy: They have to invest around the team, but don’t go overboard like Forest did last season. Be smart with your signings

Sell: Keep the players that helped you get promoted, other than that, sell the older guys who are taking up available space.
