The summer transfer window has been non-stop excitement. There seems to be a new bombshell transfer story every day. What's become increasingly clear is that some clubs entered the summer window with the goal of upgrading their squads, while others struggle to get deals over the line. Let's look at the teams that are winning the transfer window so far:
Napoli

We’re starting off with a team nobody would have expected to be on this list. After winning their second Scudetto in three seasons, Antonio Conte’s side went into this transfer window with the goal of getting even stronger. Hands down the biggest bit of business from the Italian champions is bringing Kevin De Bruyne in on a free transfer from Manchester City. Arguably one of the best midfielders of the 21st century, Napoli will hope that De Bruyne can stay fit and revolutionize their midfield. On top of De Bruyne, the Azzurri’s have signed Noa Lang from PSV, Lorenzo Lucca from Udinese, and Sam Beukema from Bologna. These signings mean that Napoli have improved every aspect of their game and will hope that their new team will retain the Serie A title and who knows, maybe they can push on and make history in the Champions League as well.
Arsenal

Arsenal’s window has been hectic but the signings have been unpredictable. Their first signing this summer was Real Sociedad’s Martin Zubimendi. The Spanish midfielder was on a few big clubs’ radars this summer but the Gunners won out. After a great start to their business, there were talks of Benjamin Sesko coming in from Leipzig or Victor Gyokeres from Sporting. At that point, Arsenal fans would have been pinching themselves; they had two world-class strikers desperate to join the team. The saga has recently come to an end as Arteta chose to go with Gyokeres over Sesko. The Swede is set to complete his medical before being unveiled as a Gunner. Arsenal were not done there as they made two unexpected signings of Kepa from Chelsea and Christian Nordgaard from Brentford. The Gunners have also signed Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia; the young defender will look to work hard and challenge for a starting spot. The cherry on top happened when the Gunners agreed a deal to bring Noni Madueke to North London from Chelsea. Madueke is a decent winger, but his performances have been up and down; he surely will not go into the starting eleven over Bukayo Saka. Arsenal have certainly been busy, even if the signings seem unusual, they certainly strengthen their squad depth.
Real Madrid

Real Madrid’s summer window started off with a bang after they completed a double deal with Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool and Dean Huijsen of Bournemouth leaving the Premier League for La Liga. Later in the window, Los Blancos completed the bombshell deal for Franco Mastantuono, hijacking PSG’s pursuit of the young Argentine. With the improvement in defense and attack, Real Madrid recently completed the signing of Spanish left-back Álvaro Carreras from Benfica. The Spanish giants have been busy in the market but knowing Real Madrid, they are nowhere near done; they will not stop until they take back their title as Spain's ultimate club after losing every trophy to Barcelona.
Chelsea

As usual, Chelsea are spending big this window. They had already completed the signing of Estevao from Palmeiras last summer but they were not keen on stopping there. The Blues have since completed the signing of Liam Delap from Ipswich, Dario Essugo from Sporting, Joao Pedro from Brighton, and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens from Dortmund. An impressive top-four finish last season was followed by winning the Club World Cup over PSG earlier this month. The story recently is that Chelsea are closing in on Xavi Simons of RB Leipzig and Jarrel Hato of Ajax to bolster the squad even more. Todd Boehly’s Chelsea are going up and the American will want to see his side compete for the big prizes again.
Liverpool

In my opinion, there is only one standout winner of this summer window: Liverpool. After winning the Premier League in his first season in charge, Arne Slot was not planning on celebrating for too long. His side got busy and signed Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen. Two huge signings were followed up with Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth. It is important to mention that the Reds signed Valencia keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili last season, adding serious competition in between the sticks for the Premier League champions. Liverpool, having already caused a transfer overhaul, are not done yet. After completing the massive signing of Hugo Ekitike from Frankfurt for a total package of 95 million pounds, the Reds are looking into a potential deal to bring in another world-class striker in Alexander Isak from Newcastle. This performance in the transfer window suggests that Liverpool are looking to not only dominate in England but in world soccer.
