Now that the Premier League season has finished, it is time to acknowledge the players that continued to show their class all year and the players who turned up out of nowhere to provide for their club, it is time to reveal my team of the season 2023/2024:
DEFENSE
Goalkeeper: Guglielmo Vicario (Spurs)

The Italian goalkeeper helped keep Tottenham alive in certain matches with big saves and he showed that he can be a good leader for the club. Standing at 6 '4, it was difficult to beat Vicario in goal. For a debut season, I would say he helped Tottenham stay in the top five.
Right-Back: Kyle Walker (Man City)

At his age to be able to keep up with every winger he has faced, Kyle Walker deserves all the credit. He has managed to hold his position in the team for years and has earned him and his team a fourth Premier League title in a row, amazing. There were a few options for this position but I thought Walker did more than enough to earn his place in my team.
Center-Backs: Willia Saliba + Gabriel (Arsenal)

There was no competition, without these two Arsenal would not have been competing for the title up until the final day. It is clear to everyone that these two are the foundation of the club and they help balance the team. They allow for midfield players such as Declan Rice to play with more creativity and push forward knowing he has good cover behind him. Last season when Saliba got injured, Arsenal fell apart defensively and lost their spot in the title race. Yes, the likes of Dias from City were top-class, but I need to give these two a lot of credit.
Left-Back: Gvardiol (Man City)

I honestly could not decide between Udogie or Gvardiol since both were stellar, but considering that Gvardiol won the title, I am going with the Croatian. Despite playing out of position, Gvardiol was fundamental in that City defense and definitely played a part in their title win. His performances at the start of the season were a bit up and down but once he settled into the Pep system, he flourished; he is my left-back.
MIDFIELD
Center-mid: Rodri (Man City) + John McGinn (Aston Villa)

Oh, I know this will be scrutinized; yes I know Declan Rice deserved a spot but I want to give John McGinn credit, he captained Aston Villa to the Champions League for next season. I mean come on, he is class. Rodri is a bit of an easy answer because he is undeniably the best defensive midfielder in the world, so this was a gimme. I do want to mention that Declan Rice was superb this season, he can do big things for Arsenal.
Attacking Midfield: Cole Palmer (Chelsea)

I cannot deny this man his credit, what a debut season for a Chelsea team that is an absolute mess. Without Palmer, Chelsea would not be in Europe next season. To leave a City team that he was slowly integrating in to go and score 22 Premier League goals and assist 11 is insane, what a player Palmer can be and deserves his place in England’s Euro squad for the summer tournament.
ATTACK
Strikers: Alexander Isak (Newcastle), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa), Erling Haaland (Man City)

To be completely honest, I was not too impressed with wingers this season, so I am going to pick three number nines who had great seasons: Haaland is another gimme: top scorer, league winner, easy pick. Watkins along with McGinn helped Villa this season with his 19 goals and 13 assists (most in the league). Finally, Isak scored 21 goals, he has to be on this TOTS list and transfer list for some big clubs around Europe.
Let me know who I missed/ who you would put in your TOTS!
