The transfer window is reaching its second month, and there is not much to write home about. Premier League clubs have been stingy on bringing in players, something of a rare sight in a summer window. However, outgoings may be the hero of the summer, the top six of the Premier League have plenty of players who will want to move out of their clubs. Let’s take a look at which players each top 6 club should look to move on:

Manchester City:

Joao Cancelo

Joao Cancelo is an excellent player who made a difference for City in the early stages of his Premier League career, but after two loan spells, still no sign of the Portuguese man being in Pep’s plans for the season. At 30 years old, Cancelo has a few more years at the top of Football, and rotting on the Manchester City bench can not be his plan A. The full-back seemed to enjoy a stint at Barcelona but due to restricted finances, a permanent move to the Spanish giants may be far-fetched, but a loan move is possible.

Kalvin Phillips

Phillips was one of the most sought-after midfielders two seasons ago: Leeds were showcasing their impressive playing style in the Premier League and Phillips led England to the final of Euro 2020. After landing what seemed to be his dream move in 2022, a fall-out with Pep and constant injuries skewed his development and caused him to fall off. A failed loan spell at West Ham last season only hurt any chance of Phillips getting back on track, therefore, a move to a low-ranked Premier League side where Phillips can play every game could help him make a comeback. Man City will not be using him that’s for sure.

Jack Grealish

On paper, Jack Grealish was a smart signing, but the 100 million pound price tag proved to be too much pressure for the Englishman as he continues to sit on the Manchester City bench year after year. Grealish is a good player, but Pep’s system does not suit him. A player of Grealish's stature needs to be a star player with all eyes on him, not a good player amongst superstars. As an Aston Villa hero, Manchester was a big jump. I believe Grealish would excel at Ange’s Tottenham where he will get plenty of the ball on the wing and be able to make a name for himself in London. City will not get 100 million for him, but 40-50 million is plausible.

Arsenal:

Aaron Ramsdale

Ramsdale is a solid keeper, and for the life of me I cannot begin to understand why Arsenal removed him from their starting eleven, but since he has no place at Arsenal with David Raya signing permanently, sell him for big money, do not ruin his promising career.

Kieran Tierney, Oleksandr Zinchenko, and Cedric Soares

All three of them need to go because Tierney is not part of their plans, Zinchenko is not a Premier League-winning left-back because he makes too many mistakes, and I did not even know Arsenal still had Cedric…move on.

Eddie Nketiah

Nketiah is a very good forward who deserves to start every match at a different Premier League club, he is too talented to sit on the bench for Arsenal and only play between the months of January-March. Nketiah is a goal-scorer, let him make a career for himself.

Reiss Nelson, Emile Smith Rowe, and Mohamed Elneny

These three have played for Arsenal for far too long. Nelson is good but not a top-four Premier League club good, Emile Smith Rowe is good but inconsistent, and why is Elneny still at Arsenal after almost 10 years?

Liverpool:

Nathaniel Phillips

Phillips was given his opportunity during lockdown football when Liverpool were going through an injury crisis in the defense and he wasted the chance. It is time to go, he is not even good enough to play in the Premier League club, the Championship is better suited for him right now.

Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones is a good player, but similar to a lot of players on this list, he needs to go somewhere and start every match. He has won a plethora of titles at the Reds but for his career, it would be best to move. Further, it benefits Liverpool financially because as a homegrown player, his sale will be pure profit, and he can go for 15-20 million.

Fabio Carvalho

He was a good and logical signing, but it has not worked out, it is time to go.

Cody Gakpo

Gakpo came to the Premier League fresh off of a fantastic spell at the 2022 World Cup. It was understood that Manchester United were the frontrunners but Liverpool got their man. Unfortunately for the Dutchman, his career at Liverpool has turned out to be underwhelming. He struggles to stay consistent on the pitch which has resulted in him sitting on the bench often. Gakpo may need to play outside England because if you cannot succeed in a very attack-minded squad, then maybe the Premier League is not for you.

Chelsea:

Kepa

90 million and nothing to show for it. It is time for Kepa and Chelsea to part ways, the Spaniard should go back to La Liga and become a regular starter at another club. Chelsea will be lucky to get 20-25 million for the Spanish keeper.

Romelu Lukaku

I do not think this needs any explanation, why is he still at Chelsea, get rid of him.

Raheem Sterling

When Chelsea first signed Sterling I thought it was a solid pick up, however, perhaps due to Chelsea’s poor run of form in recent years, it has not panned out for either party. Sterling can show his class in moments, but he is not consistent enough and not worth the wages they are paying him. I believe they can generate around 30-35 million pounds for the winger and put that money into signing another attacker.

Enzo Fernandez

Look, this has everything to do with the recent controversy surrounding him, whether you agree with it or not, it is clear that Fernandez has caused a rift between him and the other French players in the Chelsea dressing room. If the club wants to see a team with chemistry, they are better off removing him. 100 million pounds down the drain if it comes down to selling him but that’s football.

Manchester United:

Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Christian Erikson, Scott McTominay, Hannibal, Shoretire, Jadon Sancho, Facundo Pellistri

I am tying all these players together in one category because they are all deadwood. Some of the names here have been at the club since Jose Mourinho in 2016 and the wages they are on do not reflect their drive to play for Manchester United. For years these players have caused problems in the dressing room with cliques and leaks. With new owners, staff, and coaches, it is time for a new-look team; this means selling investments from the past that have not worked.

Tottenham:

Giovani Lo Celso

A solid player, but he is not good enough to start for Spurs. Sell him while you still can make a profit off of him and re-invest that cash to sign Eze from Crystal Palace.

 Manor Soloman

Not good enough, I did not understand this signing when it was made last season and my doubts were proven right. Solomon is a mid to low-table Premier League club quality, so keep him there. Spurs are better off without having to pay his wages.

 Bryan Gil

Gil is in the same boat as Soloman, not good enough so sell him.

 Djed Spence

Either use him or sell him. Spence is young and full of energy, he deserves to play for a team that wants him and I do not think Spurs is that team. After a solid season with Nottingham Forest in the Championship two years ago, the move to Spurs seemed perfect for the full-back; but after three failed loan moves, I think it is decision time on Spence: keep or sell, no more loan moves.

Sergio Reguilon

I just think Spurs have their starting and backup full backs in Udogie and Davies. Requillon was decent when on loan at United and Brentford which proves that he deserves to be a starter, not a third-choice left-back. A move away from Spurs suits him.

Who do you want to see your club buy/sell?
